New in v14: the mode option ('top' | 'float' | 'list' | 'compact') which replaces the old float boolean.
In mode: 'list' items are continuously re-flowed in sequential (row-major) order, like a re-orderable list:
dropping an item on another one takes its place and everything else shifts over, instead of being pushed down.
